Summertime Blues

Summertime Blues

You know when you get a few precious days off, and you really, REALLY enjoy that time with family or friends or by yourself? Then you have to, what? Be responsible? Yep. I hate that. Oh, the Summertime Blues…

Back in the old days, you know, before cellphones, there was no constant connection. But nowadays, staying in touch with what’s up in the world is just too easy. When you’re a news junkie like me, you naturally want to stay on top of world events. But, when you do get some time for a big life event, should you be looking at your phone? I just can’t help myself! Especially now, with this crazy election, can’t get enough.

When you sit at the ocean, a lake, or take a precious hike alone, is the phone with you? Maybe for music, but are you constantly checking email, texts, Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter and Insta? It’s a habit to break for sure. Most people who work for/with you know you’re away or doing something other than work. So you stay semi-connected, because you have to. Then it hits you, the blues. When you totally disconnect and have to return to being connected, it’s kind of hard, right?

Do you disconnect or stay semi-connected?
