Michael Wayne
Mike started as a disc jockey then slid into news reporting and anchoring at several Tampa Bay area radio stations. In 2001, Mike won the Florida AP award for best feature story. From 2004 to 2007 he was News Director for "Rooster 101" radio in the Cayman Islands.Mike is one of a select group of journalists to have survived close encounters with Category 5 hurricanes. He was assigned to the National Hurricane Center in Miami when Andrew roared through in 1992. He was living on Grand Cayman Island when Hurricane Ivan devastated the tiny British Colony in 2004.
